By recreating and simulating the work in an SOS center through a computer-generated virtual reality, the public is given the opportunity to gain a unique insight into the important work that SOS Alarm conducts.
“VR gives a sense of presence and is ideal to use to showcase our business as close as possible without having to be physically present. The VR environment we have developed contains a 3D-generated digital twin of an SOS exchange where you can try three different activities: a tour of the exchange, to sit and listen next to an SOS operator and to try to act as an operator yourself in simple conversation scenarios. VR is a completely new way for us to communicate and it will be very exciting to see how it is received “, says Carl-Johan Stenmalm, communicator and project manager at SOS Alarm.
